The boys and girls in Ms. Gallagher’s room have been putting their senses to work on their autumn walks! They have been exploring through sight, smell, touch and hearing — and may even get to taste some blackberries! 🫐 They also examined our school garden, which was in full bloom during September. So much to discover right on our doorstep! 🌼😊

Ms. Murray’s class have been doing wonderful work on phonics! Their fun, “hair-raising” activities certainly got the boys and girls thinking as they explored letters and sounds. 😊 It is lovely to see such enthusiasm for learning. Well done to everyone for their hard work! 👏📚

Ms. Murray’s class have been busy completing their Daily Mile, with an exciting destination in mind — Paris! They are adding their distances together and working as a team to cover the distance to the French capital. Every mile brings them a little closer. Vive la classe de Ms. Murray! 👏

The boys and girls in Mr. Gibbons’ room have been busy creating beautiful owl artwork using autumn leaves gathered outside. The different shapes and colours of the leaves have helped bring each owl to life! A lovely way to combine creativity with the natural materials around our school. Well done, everyone! 🎨👏

We were delighted to welcome Pat Forde from Stop the Bully to our school this week. Pat works with schools and children to build confidence, develop friendship skills and help tackle bullying. He spoke to the boys and girls about building friendships in school and showing empathy towards others. Thank you, Pat, for sharing these important messages with our pupils! 😊

On Wednesday, we had our County Photos Day. Our Junior Infants and Sixth Class pupils had their class photos taken. All pupils also had individual photographs taken, as well as photographs with their siblings. We finished the day with a very special whole-school photograph! 😊

Thank you to Fr Seán Egan, who celebrated our Opening of the School Year Mass. The children did a wonderful job in their various roles and all pupils took part in the choir. 🎶 It was lovely to see so many members of our community in attendance. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special occasion. ⛪

Well done to our girls’ camogie team, who reached the Shield A semi-final at the St. Brigid’s College Blitz last week. We had a great day of camogie! 👏🎉 Thank you to Ms. Gallagher for accompanying the girls and to St. Brigid’s College for coordinating such a successful event. 💚🤍

The children in Ms. Gallagher’s Room had a wonderful Teddy Bears’ Picnic last week. They brought in their favourite furry friends and got to tell the class a little about each one. What a lovely day! 🧺🐻

The boys and girls in Ms. Gallagher’s Room have been busy making bird feeders from Cheerios! They are nutritious and delicious treats for our feathered friends! 🌳

Well done to our Boys’ Hurling Team, who were successful at the annual St. Brigid’s College Blitz, winning the C Shield! 🏑 Thank you to Mr. Kelly and Seán Walsh for helping the boys on the day and to all the parents who provided lifts. Thank you also to St. Brigid’s College for organising the event so well.
