The boys and girls throughout the school have been busy preparing for the Manning Cup, which will take place later this month 😊👏. Pupils have been taking part in a variety of sporting events including sprints, long-distance runs, long jump, ball throw, and hurdle races 💪🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️. Hard luck to our girls’ five-a-side soccer team, who were narrowly beaten in the final group stages of the county competition 😊👏. The girls travelled to Mervue for the blitz, where they played brilliantly throughout the day, winning two games and losing two games ⚽💪. The boys and girls in Mr. Kelly's class recently had the opportunity to visit the grave of the local rapparee, Anthony Daly, who died over 200 years ago and is buried in Kilrickle graveyard 😊. It was a wonderful opportunity for the pupils to learn more about the history and heritage of our local area while exploring an important historical site 🏺🌍.

The boys and girls had a fantastic opportunity last Monday to play hurling and camogie games against Cappataggle National School in a challenge blitz 😊👏. It was a great way for the pupils to practise their skills and prepare for the upcoming Cumann na mBunscol blitz 💪🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️. A huge thank you to Cappataggle National School for organising the event. This has been made possible thanks to the wonderful new pathway that has recently been installed around our school 👏✨. The boys and girls visited Kilrickle Church to hear the story of Good Friday by exploring the Stations of the Cross ✝️🙏 Each Friday, the boys and girls in Mr. Gibbons' class also visit the church to pray the Rosary with members of the community 🤝📿

The boys and girls had a wonderful Easter maths treasure hunt on the last day of term! 🌸✨We searched all around the school for hidden eggs 🗺️🔍 Inside each egg, there was a tasty chocolate treat 🍫 and a maths problem to solve ➕➖🧠 — a perfect mix of fun and learning!
