The boys and girls in Ms. Gallagher’s class have been busy creating beautiful artwork inspired by the April showers 🌧️🎨. Their wonderful art pieces included lots of colourful flowers and bright umbrellas, bringing plenty of springtime cheer to the classroom 🌼🌈. The boys and girls in Ms. Gallagher’s class are loving their hurling sessions with Cathal every Thursday 😊👏. It is a fantastic opportunity for the pupils to learn and practise the basic skills of hurling and camogie while also keeping active and having great fun with their classmates 💪🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️. The boys and girls in Mr. Gibbons’ room have been enjoying running 600 metres around the school each morning 😊🏫. This has been made possible thanks to the wonderful new pathway that has recently been installed around our school 👏✨. The boys and girls visited Kilrickle Church to hear the story of Good Friday by exploring the Stations of the Cross ✝️🙏 Each Friday, the boys and girls in Mr. Gibbons' class also visit the church to pray the Rosary with members of the community 🤝📿

The boys and girls had a wonderful Easter maths treasure hunt on the last day of term! 🌸✨We searched all around the school for hidden eggs 🗺️🔍 Inside each egg, there was a tasty chocolate treat 🍫 and a maths problem to solve ➕➖🧠 — a perfect mix of fun and learning! We had a great day at the rugby blitz in Loughrea last week! 🙌 A big thank you to Loughrea Rugby Club for inviting us — we had a fantastic day showcasing all the different skills we’ve learned from coach Josh 💪🏉 Of course, there was plenty of fun along the way… including a bit of time in the mud! 😂🌧️

Last week, we held our Scholastic Book Fair in the school 📖 The boys and girls really enjoyed browsing the different books and choosing ones that interested them 😊 It was lovely to see such enthusiasm for reading, with many pupils excited to bring their new book purchases home 📚✨ The Book Fair is a great tradition in our school and takes place every two years 🎉

We had great success at the FAI 5-a-Side Soccer Blitzes held in Kiltullagh Pioneers pitch over the last number of days. The girls participated last Wednesday, and our Senior Girls Team were victorious 🏆👏 They will now go on to represent the Loughrea section of the FAI 5-a-Side tournament for Galway in Maree on April 28th. The Junior Girls Team were unlucky not to qualify, losing out in a play-off penalty shootout, while the boys’ teams were also unlucky, being narrowly defe

The boys and girls in all classes are taking part in gymnastics sessions with Michael every Tuesday . These sessions give the pupils a fantastic opportunity to develop their balance, coordination and movement skills 💪 There are six sessions in total , running each Tuesday, and the programme will conclude just before the Easter holidays . Every Thursday we have hurling training with Cathal, and it is a fantastic opportunity for the boys and girls to practise and develop their hurling skills 💪 The pupils are really enjoying the sessions and learning lots of new skills each week. This great initiative will continue until the end of the school term. A big thank you to Cathal, and to everyone at Cappataggle GAA Club and Connacht GAA Development for organising and supporting these brilliant sessions 👏

We had a wonderful day in school yesterday celebrating our special Grandparents’ Day 💛 A big thank you to all the teachers, parents, pupils and grandparents who came along and helped make the day so memorable.
