🔬💧 Investigating Soil Permeability

Mr. Gibbons’ class have been investigating how easily water passes through different soils. We poured water into cups containing sand and compost and compared how quickly it drained through each.

In our experiment, the water passed through the sand much faster than through the compost. This helped us understand permeability—how easily water can move through a material.
